Understanding Log Entry "cross-post merged" Print

  • cross-posting, fewer recipients
  • 0

Occasionally an incoming message may have fewer recipients than intended.

The incoming transaction log has the following line:

Message will be cross-post merged against these message IDs:<outmailid, outmailid>

Listmanager has a feature to combat email fatigue. Email fatigue is the result of sending irrelevant content and/or mailing too frequently.  In this case, Listmanager detects if an email address was already sent exactly the same email. If so the cross-posting does not allow the exact same message to go to the same email address more than one time within 24hours. Cross-posting applies to an email address across any list in the Listmanager server.
