How to add headers or footers to mailings?
Solution:
A header and footer can be added to list postings automatically from the list settings.
This function can be useful to provide important company information or unsubscribe options.
Modifying the message headers and footers
For mailings sent to the server by email, headers are always added automatically.
- Navigate to "Utilities: List Settings: Email Submitted Content"
- On the "Message Wrapping" tab the text and HTML header and footer can be edited.
- By default, these fields are populated with unsubscribe information.
- After making adjustments, click "Save".
To apply headers to mailings created from the web interface
- Navigate to "Utilities: List Settings: Web Created Content"
- For the "Insert headers and footers" field, choose one of the options
- Insert Headers and Footers Into New Content and Mailings
- Headers and footers will be included in new content and mailings but may be edited. The mailing content should be inserted between the preexisting headers and footers.
- Automatically Insert Headers and Footers
- Headers and footers will be added automatically to every mailing sent. The headers and footers will not be visible or editable but will be included when the message is sent.
- Click "Save".
