Solution:
Unmoderated Discussion Forum messages do not require approval and hence tracking tags do not get added to the message. In order to add tracking tags, the HTML message footer must be modified to include a tracking tag. This steps below describe how to add tracking tags to Unmoderated Discussion Forum messages.
Adding tracking to unmoderated Discussion Forum messages:
- Navigate to: "Utilities: List Settings: E-mail Submitted Content"
- Navigate to the field named, "Append to end of every message (HTML message footer):"
- Insert "%%detect_both%%" inside the body of the HTML message footer
- Click "Save"
