The steps below describe how to insert an unsubscribe link where a notification will not be sent to the user:
- Click ‘New content’ link or edit existing content by clicking ‘View Content’ and then click ‘Edit’.
- Click the ‘HTML Message’ tab.
- Click ‘Insert URL’ on the right side of the screen.
- Click the ‘Unsubscribe’ tab.
- Select ‘Email notification: No’.
- Click ‘Insert’.
If you have already inserted the unsubscribe link in the HTML message you can edit the URL.
- Place the cursor where the unsubscribe link is located.
- Click in the world link icon
- Copy the URL from the link window to notepad.
- Delete the section ‘&n=T’ which means notification set to true.
- Copy and Paste the changed URL to the link window in ListManager.
- Click Ok.
Note: You need also to turn off/delete the default footer reference to unsubscribe a user. The setting is located at Utilities: List Settings: Email Submitted Content: Message Wrapping.The sessions that reference the unsubscribe information are: Append to end of every message (Text message footer) and Append to end of every message (HTML message footer)
